MICHAŁ BERGSON EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF WARSAW
MICHAŁ BERGSON EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF WARSAW (GMACH WYCHOWAWCZY WARSZAWSKIEJ GMINY WYZNANIOWEJ IM. MICHAŁA BERGSONA) is a building located by Jagiellońska 28 street and was built during 1911 - 1914. It's a valuable monument of Jewish culture in the Praga area of Warsaw. It was designed by Henryk Srifelman and Stanislaw Weiss.
Initially, it served the purpose of shelter for Jewish children. The shelter also included a synagogue. In 1940, all staff and pupils were relocated to the Warsaw ghetto.
It is now the home of the "Baj" theater, but some rooms are also used for regular housing and as business premises.
